STEP-BY-STEP HELP

Find your next step.

These details cover invitations, sharing controls and account requests.

If sharing does not start or stops unexpectedly

  • Check that the invitation is still active and that your device has a network connection.
  • Return to GuidedView and check its current status. Complete your device’s screen-sharing prompt if it is still open.
  • On iPhone or iPad, open Troubleshooting details to see event names and times. Review a copied log before sending it to support.
  • If the session has ended, ask your helper for a new invitation.

Start a session

Open the original invitation on the device you want to share. Confirm that you are on the call with the helper who sent it, then follow the steps in GuidedView. Your device will ask you to authorize screen sharing. Your helper cannot see your screen before you start sharing.

Pause or stop sharing

Pause before entering passwords, verification codes, payment details, signatures, or other private information. Wait for GuidedView to show that sharing is paused. Only you can choose to resume. Stop ends the session.

On iPhone and iPad, Apple’s broadcast indicator may stay visible while GuidedView is paused. Use the system indicator to stop the broadcast if you want to end it at the device level.

Installing the app

If the invitation opens in a browser and you install the app, return to the original message and open the invitation again. Do not forward your invitation link to support or anyone else. If it has expired or was already used, ask your helper to start a new session.

Request access or deletion

Signed-in helpers can delete their GuidedView account in the portal. The flow verifies your password, ends active sessions, cancels GuidedView subscriptions attached to your account, and deletes linked account records. Stripe may retain customer, invoice, or transaction records under its policies.

To ask what information GuidedView holds about you, request correction, or get help with deletion, email support@syncedupsolutions.com with “GuidedView privacy request” in the subject. Do not include an invitation link or sensitive screen content. We may need to verify your request and may retain information where applicable law permits or requires.

This applies to the GuidedView app and website operated by SyncedUp Solutions LLC. When we fulfill a deletion request we delete the GuidedView records linked to your invitation or account: session and invitation-delivery status, session times and states, lifecycle events such as paused or ended, and, for helpers, the helper account and its session summaries. Screen video is sent live to your helper and is not stored by GuidedView, so there is no recording to delete.

Some information may be kept: operational access and security logs, which can outlast an individual session, and information we must keep for legal or security reasons. Text and email providers, and the phones or inboxes that received an invitation, keep those messages under their own policies.
