What is AirDroid Remote Support?
AirDroid Remote Support is a remote support tool from Sand Studio. The customer installs the AirDroid Remote Support app and reads a 9-digit code to the supporter, who connects from AirDroid's helper app, AirMirror, or from a computer. The supporter can view or control the device, talk through built-in text chat, voice messages and voice calls, and use an AR camera feature to guide a customer through physical equipment. Android control works on Android 7.0 or later with a remote control add-on, while iOS devices are view-only through a screen broadcast. Paid plans connect to Windows, macOS, Android and iOS, and the Standard plan adds unattended access for up to 300 Windows, macOS and Android devices. AirDroid Remote Support is sold per license per year, and the entry Basic plan includes 50 connection hours a month and one concurrent connection. It suits teams that support Android fleets or need hands-on Android control.
Can AirDroid Remote Support control an iPhone?
No. AirDroid's help center says remote control is not supported for iOS devices, which offer remote viewing only, and its pricing page notes that iOS devices “don't support being controlled but only connected.” On an iPhone, the customer opens the AirDroid Remote Support app and starts a Screen Recording broadcast from Control Center, and the supporter watches.
Android is AirDroid's strength. With the remote control add-on and permissions granted in the app, a supporter can operate an Android device running Android 7.0 or later. For teams that need to change settings on a customer's Android phone or look after company Android devices, that is a real advantage.
GuidedView is view-only on iPhone, Android and computers. The customer opens your invitation in the free GuidedView app, confirms they are on a call with you and approves sharing, then does the tapping while you talk them through it. Apple's own recording indicator appears on iPhone. See how to share an Android screen with support.
How does pricing compare?
| Plan | Price | Limits and features |
|---|---|---|
| GuidedView | $29.99/month, billed monthly | One plan per account with every feature; iPhone, Android and computer |
| AirDroid Free | $0 | Windows and macOS only, from Windows or macOS; 10 connection hours a month |
| AirDroid Basic | $199/license/year | 1 licensed user, 1 concurrent connection, 50 connection hours a month; Windows, macOS, Android and iOS |
| AirDroid Standard | $599/license/year | Unlimited connection hours, unattended Android, up to 300 unattended devices |
| AirDroid Premium | Listed as coming soon | Check the vendor's current pricing |
AirDroid's free plan does not cover phones, so phone support starts at Basic. Over a year, Basic at $199 costs less than GuidedView at $29.99 a month, which comes to $359.88 a year, but Basic is billed annually and capped at 50 connection hours a month per license. Standard removes the hour cap and adds unattended Android devices.
GuidedView bills monthly and can be canceled anytime from the portal. See GuidedView pricing.
Does either product replace the phone call?
AirDroid Remote Support can. It has its own text chat, voice messages and voice calls inside the app, and the customer shares a 9-digit code instead of receiving a link. That suits teams that want everything in one app, including the AR camera for physical equipment.
GuidedView deliberately does not. You and the customer keep talking on your normal phone line, and GuidedView has no in-app voice or video chat. You send the invitation by text or email during the call, and the invitation asks the customer to share only if they are on a call with you right now. For teams whose support already runs on phone calls, that keeps the call where it is and adds the screen. Read how to see a customer's screen during a phone call.
Which should you choose?
Choose AirDroid Remote Support if
- You need hands-on remote control of Android phones and tablets.
- You manage unattended Android devices, such as a company fleet.
- You want built-in chat, voice messages and voice calls in one app.
- You want an AR camera to guide customers through physical equipment.
- You only support Windows and Mac computers and the free plan's 10 hours a month is enough.
Choose GuidedView if
- Your support runs on normal phone calls and you need to see the screen.
- You support iPhone customers as often as Android ones.
- You want computer users to share from a browser with no download.
- You want monthly billing with no annual commitment.
- You want live-only sessions with a Pause button the customer controls.
AirDroid Remote Support is a strong pick for Android-heavy teams that need control. GuidedView is the simpler fit when the job is watching a customer's screen during a call and talking them through it.
Can you use AirDroid and GuidedView together?
Yes. A team can keep AirDroid Remote Support for unattended Android devices and hands-on Android fixes, and use GuidedView for customer calls where the person is on a computer and a browser link is easier than a download, or where you want a live-only session that is never recorded. Questions
What is AirMirror?
AirMirror is AirDroid's helper-side app. As of November 2026, the App Store lists AirMirror as the helper app for AirDroid Remote Support, and Google Play lists AirMirror for controlling Android devices running AirDroid Personal and for Remote Support. The customer installs the separate AirDroid Remote Support app on the device being helped.
Can AirDroid Remote Support control an iPhone?
No. AirDroid says remote control is not supported for iOS devices, which offer remote viewing only through a screen broadcast. Android devices running Android 7.0 or later can be controlled with a remote control add-on. GuidedView is view-only on every device, including iPhone, where it uses Apple's screen broadcast through the free GuidedView app.
Is there a free version of AirDroid Remote Support?
Yes, with limits. As of November 2026, AirDroid's free plan connects to and controls Windows and macOS computers only, from Windows or macOS, with 10 connection hours a month. Phones need a paid plan, starting with Basic at $199 per license per year. GuidedView customers share for free, and each agent account is $29.99 a month.
Does GuidedView have voice calls like AirDroid?
No. GuidedView has no in-app voice or video chat. It is designed to work alongside the normal phone call you are already on: you send a text or email invitation during the call and keep talking while you watch the customer's screen. AirDroid Remote Support includes its own chat, voice messages and voice calls.
Does the customer need an account?
Not with either product. AirDroid's quick connection flow has the customer download the AirDroid Remote Support app and share a 9-digit code, with no customer sign-in described. GuidedView customers open a one-time invitation link, confirm they are on a call with the sender, and approve sharing. Only the GuidedView agent needs an account.
