What is Cobrowse.io?

Cobrowse.io is an enterprise co-browsing platform from Cobrowse.io LLC that lets human agents, and virtual agents, see and guide customers inside a business's own digital channels. A business adds a JavaScript snippet to the head of its website and integrates the Cobrowse SDK into its own apps, with SDKs for iOS, Android, React Native, Flutter, .NET, Windows and macOS. Agents get a laser pointer, drawing tools such as a pen, arrows, rectangles and disappearing ink, and remote control where the business enables it, which can require the customer's consent. An optional full device mode lets agents see screens outside the business's app, such as system settings, once the business has built it into its app. Cobrowse.io also offers private-by-default redaction, audit capabilities, and self-hosted or on-premise deployment. Its customers are enterprise contact centers and digital support teams in financial services, telecom, retail, healthcare and SaaS.

Does Cobrowse.io's full device mode do what GuidedView does?

Partly, and the difference is who has to build it. Cobrowse.io's full device mode can show screens outside the business's app, such as system settings or other apps, on Android, iOS, Windows, macOS and desktop web browsers. It is part of the SDK, so the customer must be using your app. On iPhone, your developers must add a Broadcast Extension. On Android, full device capture needs SDK version 2.32.0 or later and a Google Play declaration. Full device mode is not available in mobile browsers.

GuidedView is a standalone app the customer gets for free, so you do not need an app of your own. A property manager, a small IT shop or a SaaS support team can send an invitation to a customer's cell phone number and see that person's whole screen once they approve. The trade-off is depth: GuidedView only views, and it has no hooks inside your product.

Which can control an iPhone or Android phone?

Cobrowse.io supports full device remote control on Android through an Accessibility Service the customer turns on. It does not support full device remote control on iOS, which it attributes to Apple's restrictions. Inside your own app, agents can use remote control if enabled, along with drawing tools and a laser pointer.

GuidedView does not control any device. On every platform the agent sees the screen and talks, while the customer taps and types. If you want a simple promise to customers (we can see, but you stay in control), view-only is easy to explain. If you want agents to complete steps on the customer's behalf, Cobrowse.io is the stronger tool. Our guide on whether you can remotely control an iPhone explains Apple's limits.

How does pricing compare?

Pricing as of November 2026
GuidedViewCobrowse.io
Entry price$29.99 per account per month$18 per agent per month for web co-browsing
Mobile appsiPhone, Android and computer included in the one plan$36 per agent per month for web plus mobile apps
BillingMonthly, cancel anytime from the portalBilled annually; monthly billing is not listed
Large teamsEach account is $29.99 a monthCustom pricing, self hosting and 24/7 incident response

Cobrowse.io's web-only plan costs less per seat than GuidedView if you can commit to annual billing, though you also need engineering time to integrate the SDK. Cobrowse.io does not advertise a self-serve trial; its documentation offers a free account for development and testing, and its pricing page offers a free technical evaluation. See GuidedView pricing for the one plan.

Which should you choose?

Choose Cobrowse.io if

  • You run your own website and iOS, Android or desktop apps, with engineers to integrate an SDK
  • Agents need drawing tools, a laser pointer or consent-based remote control
  • You want virtual agents, not only people, to guide customers in your app
  • You need redaction, audit capabilities, or self-hosted deployment
  • You can commit to annual billing for a lower per-seat price

Choose GuidedView if

  • Customers call you from any phone or computer, not only from inside your app
  • You want to start without an engineering project
  • You want monthly billing at $29.99 per account
  • You prefer the customer to do every tap while you watch
  • You want nothing recorded

If you already maintain mobile apps and a contact center platform, Cobrowse.io fits into that stack. If you mostly help people over the phone with whatever is on their screen, GuidedView is quicker to roll out. See how GuidedView works.

Questions

Does Cobrowse.io need my customers to download an app?

Not a separate one. On the web, Cobrowse.io runs from the snippet on your site. On phones, it runs inside your own iOS or Android app after your developers integrate the SDK, so the customer must have your app. GuidedView customers install the free GuidedView app on iPhone, iPad or Android, or share from a desktop browser.

Can Cobrowse.io work in a mobile browser?

Yes, for co-browsing your website. Cobrowse.io's documentation says full device mode is not available on mobile browsers, so seeing screens beyond your site on a phone requires your app with full device mode built in. GuidedView's free app shows the whole phone screen without an app of your own.

Does Cobrowse.io record sessions?

Session recording is an account-level option. When it is enabled, agents can view their own recordings after sessions finish. Cobrowse.io's pricing page does not spell out which plans include it. GuidedView sessions are live only, and nothing is recorded or stored.

Is Cobrowse.io cheaper than GuidedView?

For web co-browsing billed annually, yes: $18 per agent per month against $29.99 per GuidedView account per month, as of November 2026. Adding mobile apps raises Cobrowse.io to $36 per agent per month billed annually, and either way you also need developer time to integrate the SDK.

Which is better for a small business without its own app?

Usually GuidedView. Cobrowse.io's mobile features live inside the business's own app, so a business without one can only co-browse its website. GuidedView needs only an agent account and the customer's cell phone number or email address. Larger teams with apps and developers may get more from Cobrowse.io's tools.
