Best co-browsing software (2026)

By the GuidedView teamUpdated

Short answer

The best co-browsing software depends on where your customers get stuck. UserView by Upscope is the strongest self-serve choice with published pricing. Cobrowse.io covers the most platforms, including native and desktop apps. Glance and ScreenMeet suit enterprise contact centers and service desks. Surfly co-browses any website without code changes. Fullview pairs co-browsing with session replay for SaaS teams. If you need to see apps and websites you do not own, screen sharing such as GuidedView is the no-code alternative.

What is co-browsing?

Disclosure

GuidedView is our product. We include it where it fits and say plainly where another tool is the better choice. Competitor details were checked against each vendor's own pages in November 2026.

Co-browsing is a way for a support agent to see, and often interact with, a customer's session inside the business's own website or app, without seeing anything else on the customer's device. Most co-browsing platforms work by adding a JavaScript snippet to the business's web pages, or an SDK to its iPhone and Android apps. When the customer starts a session, the agent sees the page as the customer sees it and can usually scroll, click and fill in fields with permission. Because the platform controls what is shared, it can mask sensitive fields so they never reach the agent. UserView by Upscope sums up the difference this way: co-browsing exposes only the active browser tab, while screen sharing exposes the whole desktop. The trade-off is reach. Snippet-based co-browsing works only on pages and apps where the code is installed, so it cannot show the customer's email, a phone setting or another company's website.

When does co-browsing beat screen sharing?

  • The problem lives in your own site or app, such as checkout, account setup, a claims portal or a SaaS dashboard.
  • The agent needs to act, not just watch. UserView, Cobrowse.io, Surfly and Fullview let agents click or fill in fields with permission.
  • Sensitive fields must be masked by default, so card numbers or account details never reach the agent.
  • Sessions should live inside your helpdesk, CRM or contact center software. Glance, ScreenMeet and Fullview are built to run there.

Screen sharing is the better fit when the customer is stuck outside your property: in phone settings, an email, a bank or carrier website, or another company's app. It is also the practical choice when nobody on your team can install a snippet or SDK. 1. UserView by Upscope: best self-serve co-browsing

Best for: support teams that want agents to click, type and scroll inside their own web app or mobile app, with prices they can see. UserView, a product of Upscope Limited, installs with a script tag, NPM package or React component, and native SDKs cover iOS, Android, Flutter and React Native. Element masking keeps sensitive fields in the customer's browser. The Core plan offers a 14-day trial with no card. Watch-outs: session recordings are a $10 per license add-on, on-premise is $800 a year and an optional implementation package is $1,200. Compare GuidedView and Upscope.

2. Cobrowse.io: best platform coverage

Best for: enterprises with their own apps and engineering teams. Cobrowse.io offers SDKs for web, iOS, Android, React Native, Flutter, .NET, Windows and macOS. An optional full device mode, built into the business's own app, can show screens outside that app on Android, iOS (with a Broadcast Extension), Windows and macOS. Agents get remote control when the business enables it, and self-hosting is available. Watch-outs: no self-serve trial is advertised, full device remote control is not supported on iOS, and full device mode does not work in mobile browsers.

3. Glance: best for enterprise contact centers

Best for: large, security-conscious enterprises that want co-browsing, screen sharing and camera sharing inside Salesforce, Genesys, Microsoft Dynamics or a custom agent workspace. Glance Cobrowse needs a script tag on every page agents should see, and untagged pages pause the agent's view. Mobile Camera Share starts from a text message link with no app. Glance says session contents are never recorded or stored on its servers. Watch-outs: pricing is quote only, with no public pricing page.

4. Surfly: best for co-browsing any website without code

Best for: teams that need to co-browse websites they do not control. Surfly runs the session through its own proxy, so the target site needs no changes: load the page, copy the Surfly link and share it. Agent and customer can switch control, add video and optionally share a screen or camera, and customers join from a phone's browser with no download. Deployment options include region pinning, private cloud and on-premise. Watch-outs: there is no public pricing, and we found no native iPhone or Android app SDK.

5. Fullview: best for SaaS teams that want session replay

Best for: SaaS support teams on Zendesk, Intercom, Salesforce or HubSpot. Fullview installs with a script in your web app, records user sessions automatically in the background with console and network data, and lets agents take control to fill out forms or adjust settings. Sessions are limited to your web app, not the customer's whole device. Watch-outs: pricing is a custom quote based on team size, session volume and helpdesk integration, with a 14-day trial, and native mobile app support is unclear in Fullview's own help center.

6. ScreenMeet: best for IT and service desks

Best for: enterprise IT and service desks running ServiceNow, Salesforce or Tanium. ScreenMeet bundles CoBrowse, a JavaScript tool for your own web pages, with Live browser screen sharing and Remote Support, which can control Windows, Mac, Linux and Android devices. Sessions launch from ServiceNow, Salesforce, Tanium or the ScreenMeet console, and the pricing page lists session recording and audit. Watch-outs: pricing is quote only, based on active agent seats on annual or multi-year agreements, and iPhone remote control is not available.

Where does GuidedView fit?

GuidedView is not a co-browsing tool. It is screen sharing for phone support: while you are on a call, you text or email a one-time link, the customer approves, and you see their iPhone, Android or computer screen live in your browser. Because the customer shares their screen rather than your website, you can see any app or website, including ones you do not own, with no code on your site and no SDK.

The trade-offs are real. GuidedView is view-only, so the customer does the tapping and typing. Privacy works differently too: rather than masking fields on your pages, the customer taps Pause before passwords, codes or payment details, and only they can resume. It records nothing and costs $29.99 a month per account. A team can reasonably run co-browsing on its own site and GuidedView for everything else. See how GuidedView works.

Questions

What is the difference between co-browsing and screen sharing?

Co-browsing shows the agent only the customer's session inside a website or app where the business has installed co-browsing code, and usually lets the agent click or type with permission. Screen sharing shows whatever is on the customer's screen, including other apps and websites, with no code on your site, but the agent typically watches rather than acts.

Does co-browsing require the customer to download anything?

Usually not. Snippet-based tools such as UserView, Glance and Fullview run in the customer's browser on your own pages, and Surfly customers join from a link. Inside native phone apps, the customer only needs your app with the vendor's SDK built in.

Can co-browsing work on a website I do not own?

Most co-browsing tools cannot, because they need code on each page. Surfly is the main exception: its proxy-based approach needs no changes to the target website. Screen sharing tools show any website, because the customer shares the screen itself.

Which co-browsing software publishes its prices?

As of November 2026, UserView by Upscope ($36 per agent per month billed monthly, $30 billed annually) and Cobrowse.io ($18 per agent per month billed annually for web, $36 with mobile apps) publish prices. Glance, Surfly, Fullview and ScreenMeet are quote only.

Can co-browsing control a customer's iPhone?

Co-browsing SDKs work inside the business's own iPhone app, not across the whole phone. Cobrowse.io says full device remote control is not supported on iOS because of Apple's restrictions, and ScreenMeet does not offer iPhone remote control. No third-party tool can control an iPhone as a whole. See can you remotely control an iPhone?
