When does UserView stop being the right fit?
GuidedView is our product. We include it where it fits and say plainly where another tool is the better choice. Competitor details were checked against each vendor's own pages in November 2026.
Upscope is a co-browsing company whose support product is now marketed as UserView. With UserView, the business pastes a JavaScript snippet into its web pages, or adds an iOS, Android, Flutter or React Native SDK to its app, and an agent can then see and interact with the customer's view of that site or app. Agents can click, type, scroll and draw, and sensitive elements can be masked so they never leave the customer's browser. As of November 2026, the Core plan is $36 per agent per month billed monthly or $30 billed annually, session recordings are a $10 per license add-on, and an optional Implementation Package costs $1,200 once. Two facts shape the search for an alternative. Co-browsing needs code in your site or app, and it shows only that site or app. Upscope itself contrasts co-browsing, which shows only the active browser tab, with screen sharing, which exposes the whole desktop.
UserView's strengths are worth keeping in mind as you compare: real in-app views through native SDKs, 20 or more one-click helpdesk and chat integrations and a no-card 14-day trial.

Cobrowse.io: deep SDK co-browsing
Cobrowse.io is an enterprise co-browsing SDK platform covering web, iOS, Android, React Native, Flutter, .NET, Windows and macOS. If the business enables full device mode in its integrated SDK, agents can see screens outside its app, such as system settings, on Android, iOS (with a Broadcast Extension), Windows, macOS and desktop browsers. Agents get annotation, a laser pointer and remote control, which can require customer consent. As of November 2026, web co-browsing is $18 per agent per month and web plus mobile apps is $36, both billed annually.
Best for: enterprises with their own apps and engineering time. Watch-outs: every capability depends on SDK integration, full device mode is not available in mobile browsers, monthly billing is not listed, and there is no self-serve trial advertised (a free development account and technical evaluation are offered). See GuidedView vs Cobrowse.io.
Fullview: co-browsing plus session replay
Fullview combines live co-browsing with automatic session replay for SaaS support teams. You add a script to your web app, and agents can start from the helpdesk ticket, replay what the user did alongside console logs, network requests and JavaScript errors, then take control to fill out forms or adjust settings. Fullview says every user session is recorded automatically in the background as a replay, and you can restrict which pages are recorded. It offers a 14-day free trial.
Best for: SaaS teams on Zendesk, Intercom, Salesforce or HubSpot that want debugging context with co-browsing. Watch-outs: pricing is a custom quote, it covers only your own web app, and native mobile app support is unclear in Fullview's own help center. See GuidedView vs Fullview.
Surfly: co-browse any website
Surfly takes a different technical approach: proxy-based co-browsing that works on any website, including ones you do not control, with no changes to the site. The agent loads a page, shares the resulting Surfly link, and both people browse together, with control switching, drawing, e-signatures, video and optional screen or camera sharing in the same session. Field masking, audit logs, region pinning and private cloud or on-premise deployment are available.
Best for: teams guiding customers through complex web journeys, including third-party sites. Watch-outs: Surfly does not publish prices, and we found no native iOS or Android app SDK on its site, so it covers web pages rather than apps. See GuidedView vs Surfly.
GuidedView: no code, whole screen
GuidedView is not co-browsing. It is screen sharing for phone support, which means there is no snippet, SDK or IT deployment: you sign up, subscribe and send a link. Because the customer shares their device screen rather than a web page, you can see any app or website on it, including your own mobile app, their email or a third-party portal. The trade-off is that the agent watches and explains while the customer does the tapping and typing. Customers approve each session, can pause before private steps and need no account.
Best for: teams that cannot add code to their site, or whose customers get stuck outside it. Price: $29.99 per month, billed monthly. See how it works.
Glance: enterprise guided CX
Glance, now at glance.cx, is an enterprise platform that combines website co-browsing, screen sharing in both directions, mobile app co-browsing, mobile camera sharing and video, embedded in Salesforce, Genesys, Microsoft Dynamics and other CRM and contact center systems. Glance says session content is never recorded or stored on its servers.
Best for: large, security-conscious enterprises. Watch-outs: pricing is quote-only, co-browsing needs a Glance script on every page agents should see, and untagged pages pause the agent's view. See GuidedView vs Glance.
How to choose an Upscope alternative
- Do you control the website or app? If yes, script or SDK co-browsing (Cobrowse.io, Glance, Fullview) works inside your product. If not, Surfly or screen sharing avoids the integration.
- Should the agent act for the customer? Cobrowse.io, Fullview, Surfly and Glance support some form of agent control. GuidedView is view-only by design.
- Do customers get stuck outside your product? Co-browsing inside your site or app cannot follow them into their email, device settings or another company's site. Screen sharing can.
- Do you need recordings? Fullview replays sessions automatically and UserView sells recordings as an add-on. Glance says session content is never recorded on its servers, and GuidedView does not record.

Questions
Is Upscope now called UserView?
Upscope Limited now markets its support co-browsing product as UserView, and UserView's site says it is a product under Upscope Limited. Upscope's documentation still uses the Upscope name in places. Upscope also sells HelloScreen, a separate product for presenting your own screen to clients on sales calls, which works in the opposite direction.
What is the difference between co-browsing and screen sharing?
Co-browsing shares a web page or app that has the vendor's code installed, and the agent can usually interact with it. Screen sharing shows whatever is on the customer's device. Upscope describes co-browsing as showing only the active browser tab, compared with screen sharing exposing the whole desktop. GuidedView is screen sharing, view-only, with a pause for private steps.
Which Upscope alternative needs no code on my website?
Surfly co-browses websites through a proxy with no changes to the site, and GuidedView needs no code at all because the customer shares their screen from an app or browser. Cobrowse.io, Fullview and Glance co-browsing all require a script or SDK in your own site or app.
Can any of these tools see an iPhone home screen or settings?
Cobrowse.io can, if the business enables full device mode and adds a Broadcast Extension to its iOS app. GuidedView can, because the customer shares the whole iPhone screen through Apple's screen broadcast. Co-browsing sessions in UserView, Fullview, Surfly and Glance show the pages or app where they run.
Does UserView record sessions?
Only if you add it. Session recordings are a $10 per license per month add-on, and UserView says session content is stored only if you explicitly enable screenshots or recordings. GuidedView does not record or store screen video at all.
