What is Glance?
Glance is an enterprise guided customer experience platform from Glance Networks, now at glance.cx after moving from glance.net. Glance combines several tools: website co-browsing, screen sharing in both directions, co-browsing inside a business's own mobile app, Mobile Camera Share and video. Co-browsing requires a Glance script tag on every page an agent should see, and in-app co-browsing requires the Glance iOS or Android SDK. Mobile Camera Share needs no website integration: the agent texts a link and the customer shares the phone's camera from Safari or Chrome without an app download. Glance is designed to sit inside the agent's existing tools, with integrations for Salesforce, Genesys and Microsoft Dynamics, and it logs session data to CRM records. Its customers are mid-size and large enterprises in financial services, insurance, healthcare, government, retail, SaaS, and tax and accounting.
Does Glance record sessions?
No. Glance's documentation says the contents of Glance sessions, including screen sharing, co-browsing and video, are never recorded or stored on Glance's servers. Session metadata is logged to integrated systems such as Salesforce. On session contents, Glance and GuidedView are on similar ground: GuidedView sessions are live only, and GuidedView does not record or store screen video.
They differ in how private information is protected during a session. Glance offers field masking and redaction, set up by the business on its own pages. GuidedView relies on the customer's controls: the customer approves sharing, can tap Pause before entering passwords, codes or payment details, and is the only one who can resume. Each invitation link works once, and only the agent who sent it can view the session. More on our security page.
What happens when the customer leaves your website?
With Glance co-browsing, the agent sees only pages that carry the Glance tag. Untagged pages pause the agent's view, so a customer who switches to their email for a reset code, or to another company's site, drops out of view. Glance's customer screen share covers that gap on a computer, through a browser-based share or the GlanceGuest app for Windows and Mac. The Glance documentation we reviewed did not confirm whether browser-based screen share works from a phone browser.
GuidedView starts from the whole screen. On a computer, the browser asks which screen or window to share. On iPhone and Android, the free GuidedView app shares the device's screen. The agent sees whatever the customer sees, including your site, other apps and settings, which is why the Pause control matters.
Can Glance see a customer's phone, and which fits a small team?
Glance covers phones two ways. Inside your own iOS or Android app, its mobile SDK provides app co-browsing, and its Android SDK 7.5 release notes add full device remote control. Without an app, Mobile Camera Share opens the phone's camera from an SMS invitation, so the agent sees what the camera points at. That is useful for a damaged item or a device's status lights, but it shows the room, not the phone's screen. GuidedView shows the phone's own screen through the free GuidedView app, and it does not use the camera.
Glance does not publish prices. There is no pricing page on glance.cx, and buyers are routed to request a demo, so expect a sales process and an implementation tied to your CRM or contact center platform. GuidedView is self-serve: sign up, pay $29.99 a month per account, and send an invitation from the portal. It has no CRM integrations, so it suits teams that want screen visibility on a call without a platform project. See GuidedView pricing and our call center page.
Which should you choose?
Choose Glance if
- You run a contact center on Salesforce, Genesys or Microsoft Dynamics and want sessions launched and logged there
- You want co-browse, screen share, camera share and video from one vendor
- Agents need to highlight, scroll or fill approved fields with the customer's permission
Choose GuidedView if
- You need to see the customer's whole phone screen, not only your app or their camera
- You want to start without a demo, contract or implementation
- Your team is small and wants to pay per account, monthly
- You want the customer to tap and type while you guide them
Glance is a platform decision for a contact center. GuidedView is a tool an agent can start using on the next call. If you are not sure which you need, list the last ten screens customers got stuck on: if most were inside your own site, co-browsing fits; if many were email, settings or other apps, sign up for GuidedView.
Questions
Is Glance the same company as glance.net?
Yes. The old glance.net address now redirects to glance.cx, the same company's current site, and product documentation lives at docs.glance.cx. Glance continues to add integrations, including Glance Cobrowse for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Contact Center, launched in June 2025.
Does Glance need code on my website?
For co-browsing, yes. Glance's quickstart says its script tag must be added to all pages agents should be able to view. Mobile app co-browsing needs Glance's SDK in your app. Mobile Camera Share needs no website integration. GuidedView needs no code on your site or in your app.
Can a Glance agent control the customer's browser?
In a limited way. Glance says customers can permit employees to have limited browser control to navigate, select elements or fill in approved fields, and GlanceGuest desktop sessions support remote control the visitor grants. GuidedView agents cannot control anything; they watch the screen and talk on the phone.
Which is better for helping someone with a phone setting?
GuidedView, because it shows the phone's actual screen, including the Settings app, through the free GuidedView app. Glance co-browsing covers your own app, and Mobile Camera Share shows what the camera sees. If the problem is physical, such as cabling or a device's lights, Glance's camera share is the better fit.
How much does Glance cost?
Glance does not publish pricing as of November 2026, and its site routes buyers to request a demo. GuidedView is $29.99 a month per account, billed monthly, with every feature in one plan and no setup work.
