What is LogMeIn Resolve (formerly GoTo Resolve)?
LogMeIn Resolve is an IT management platform from GoTo Group, Inc. that combines remote support, unattended access, remote monitoring and management (RMM), patch management, helpdesk ticketing and asset management, with mobile device management on its top Complete plan. The product was sold as GoTo Resolve and now carries the LogMeIn name; GoTo Group is the vendor under both names, and the pricing page has moved from goto.com to logmein.com. LogMeIn Resolve is priced per managed endpoint, with a 25-endpoint minimum and unlimited users per account, which reflects who it is built for: internal IT teams and managed service providers looking after a fleet of company computers and devices. Technicians holding a Remote Support license can start instant sessions with customers by link, SMS or email. Android devices can be controlled, iPhones can be viewed, and computer sessions start in the browser, with a small applet when remote control is needed.
Can LogMeIn Resolve see an iPhone or Android screen?
Yes. On iPhone, the customer downloads the LogMeIn Resolve app (LogMeIn's help article says end users have to download the LogMeIn Resolve Agent app) and taps Start Broadcast. LogMeIn states that 'Remote control is currently not supported on iOS devices,' and its pricing table lists iOS Remote View on all plans.
On Android, the LogMeIn Resolve Agent app supports remote control, listed as Android Remote Control on every plan. Mobile sessions can be sent by direct link, SMS or email, which is close to how GuidedView invitations reach a customer.
GuidedView is view-only on both phones. The bigger difference is scope: in LogMeIn Resolve, mobile support is one feature inside an IT management platform, while GuidedView is only a way to see a screen during a support call, with Pause for private steps and links that work once.
What does the customer do on a computer?
LogMeIn Resolve starts a computer session in the browser. The customer opens a link and chats with the agent in a browser tab, and the agent can request screen viewing from that chat session. LogMeIn's pricing lists this as Unlimited Instant (Clientless) Remote Support, marked 'RS Agents Only' on every plan. When the agent requests remote control, the customer downloads and runs a small applet.
GuidedView's computer flow is similar on the customer's side: the invitation opens in a supported desktop browser with no download, and the browser asks which screen or window to share. GuidedView stops at viewing, so there is never an applet to run. For a broader look at the categories, see screen sharing vs remote access vs cobrowsing.
How does LogMeIn Resolve pricing compare?
| Plan | Price | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| LogMeIn Resolve Starter | $0.92 per endpoint per month, billed at $276 per year | Remote Support licenses are an add-on; add-on price not published |
| LogMeIn Resolve Advanced | $2.50 per endpoint per month, billed at $749 per year | 25-endpoint minimum, unlimited users, 1 Remote Support license included |
| LogMeIn Resolve Complete | $3.00 per endpoint per month, billed at $899 per year | Includes mobile device management for Android, iOS, macOS and Windows |
| GuidedView | $29.99 per month, billed monthly | One plan per account; no endpoints or minimums |
LogMeIn's pricing page also offers monthly billing; check the vendor's current pricing for the monthly rate. Instant support sessions are marked 'RS Agents Only' on every plan, and Advanced includes one Remote Support license, so a team with several people taking support calls should ask LogMeIn about additional licenses. LogMeIn also has a free subscription, but instant support sessions are not available on it.
GuidedView has no endpoint count and no minimum: each account is $29.99 a month, billed monthly, and you can cancel anytime from the portal. If you need RMM, patching and ticketing anyway, LogMeIn Resolve's bundle may be worth far more than its price. If you only need to see screens during calls, it is more platform than the job requires. See GuidedView pricing.
Which should you choose?
Choose LogMeIn Resolve if
- You want remote support, RMM, patching and helpdesk ticketing in one platform
- Your IT team manages a fleet of company endpoints, including unattended devices
- You need Android remote control and in-session VoIP
- You want unlimited users per account, priced by endpoint
- You need mobile device management on the Complete plan
Choose GuidedView if
- You support customers on phone calls rather than managing company devices
- You want a fixed $29.99 monthly price with no endpoint minimum or annual bill
- You want customers to pause before passwords, codes or payment details
- You want view-only sessions that are never recorded
LogMeIn Resolve is an IT department's toolbox. GuidedView is a single tool for one moment in a support call. Teams with real IT management needs should judge LogMeIn Resolve on those needs, not on screen sharing alone.
Can LogMeIn Resolve and GuidedView work together?
Yes. An internal IT team can run LogMeIn Resolve for the company's managed endpoints while customer-facing staff, such as account managers or a front-line support line, use GuidedView to see a customer's screen during calls. GuidedView needs no SDK or IT deployment, so it sits alongside your RMM without touching it. Read GuidedView for IT help desks or how GuidedView works.
Questions
Is GoTo Resolve the same as LogMeIn Resolve?
Yes. The IT management product GoTo Group sold as GoTo Resolve is now sold as LogMeIn Resolve. As of November 2026, the old goto.com Resolve pricing page returns a not-found page, and current pricing appears on logmein.com. GoTo Group is the vendor behind both names.
Can LogMeIn Resolve control an iPhone?
No. LogMeIn states that remote control is not currently supported on iOS devices. The customer can share an iPhone screen with the LogMeIn Resolve app and Start Broadcast, and the technician can view it. Android devices can be remotely controlled. GuidedView is view-only on both.
How much does LogMeIn Resolve cost?
As of November 2026, Advanced is $2.50 per endpoint per month, billed at $749 per year for a 25-endpoint minimum with one Remote Support license. Starter is $276 per year but needs a Remote Support add-on whose price is not published. Complete is $899 per year. Check the vendor's current pricing for monthly rates.
Does the customer need to download anything for LogMeIn Resolve?
On a computer, the session starts in the browser, and the customer downloads a small applet when the agent requests remote control. On iPhone and Android, the customer installs the LogMeIn Resolve app. GuidedView also uses a free app on phones and the browser on computers, with no applet.
Does LogMeIn Resolve record sessions?
LogMeIn lists session recording on all three Resolve plans. GuidedView does not record or store screen video; sessions are live only. If your team needs recordings of support sessions, LogMeIn Resolve covers that and GuidedView does not.
