What is ScreenMeet?

ScreenMeet is an enterprise remote support and screen sharing product that runs natively inside ServiceNow, Salesforce and Tanium, used by IT help desks and customer support teams. It comes in several parts. ScreenMeet Remote Support lets an agent take control of a device, run terminal commands and apply admin privileges, including unattended support, on Windows, Mac, Linux and Android, with actions logged to the incident record. ScreenMeet Live is a no-download voice, video and screen sharing tool that runs in the browser. ScreenMeet CoBrowse is a JavaScript-based tool for sharing a business's own web pages. The platform also lists session recording and audit, and automatic session summaries written back to the ticket. On phones, Remote Support uses the ScreenMeet Support app, which the customer downloads. ScreenMeet is sold through annual or multi-year agreements priced per active agent seat, and it recommends a proof-of-concept deployment first.

Can ScreenMeet see or control an iPhone?

ScreenMeet supports iPhones through its ScreenMeet Support app, which needs iOS 12.3 or later, but remote control is not available on iOS. The App Store description says the app shares the camera or screenshots. Android is different: with the ScreenMeet support app installed on Android 5.0 or later and permissions granted, agents can remotely control the device.

GuidedView treats iPhone and Android the same way. The customer installs the free GuidedView app, approves the device's own screen-sharing prompt, and the agent sees the live screen. Nobody controls the phone on either platform. If your desk needs to take over Android devices, ScreenMeet does that and GuidedView does not. Our guide on whether you can remotely control an iPhone explains why iPhones work differently.

Which fits an IT service desk?

ScreenMeet is designed for it. Sessions launch from the ServiceNow, Salesforce or Tanium ticket, actions are logged to the incident record, summaries are written back automatically, and agents can run admin tasks on a computer without the user present. ScreenMeet's pricing FAQ says implementation and platform integrations carry no extra charge.

GuidedView has none of that plumbing. It is a separate portal where an agent sends a text or email invitation while on the phone. For an internal help desk that already lives in ServiceNow, that is a step backward. For a small office, a school or a team that helps customers on their personal phones, it may be all that is needed. See GuidedView for IT help desks.

Does ScreenMeet replace the phone call?

ScreenMeet Live includes its own voice and video alongside browser screen sharing, with no download. Its documentation lists support for iOS 16 in Safari, Chrome and Firefox, and Android 15 in Chrome and Firefox, on the latest browser versions. That suits teams that want the whole conversation in one browser session.

GuidedView keeps the call you are already on. Both people stay on their normal phone line, and GuidedView adds only the screen. There is no in-app voice or video, so nothing changes for a customer who prefers to talk on the phone. GuidedView is $29.99 a month per account, billed monthly, and you can cancel anytime from the portal. ScreenMeet does not publish prices.

Which should you choose?

Choose ScreenMeet if

  • Your help desk runs on ServiceNow, Salesforce or Tanium and wants sessions logged to the ticket
  • Agents need full remote control, terminal commands or unattended access on computers
  • You support Android devices and want to control them remotely
  • You need session recording and audit
  • You want voice, video and screen sharing in one browser session

Choose GuidedView if

  • You help customers who call from their own phones and computers
  • You want view-only sessions that the customer approves and can pause
  • You want to keep the normal phone call
  • You want monthly billing at $29.99 per account, cancel anytime

ScreenMeet is a service desk platform; GuidedView is a narrow tool for seeing a screen during a call. If that narrow tool is what you need, see how GuidedView works.

Questions

Does ScreenMeet work without a download?

ScreenMeet Live does: it runs in supported browsers with no download. Remote Support on phones requires the ScreenMeet Support app (iOS 12.3 or later, Android 5.0 or later). GuidedView needs the free GuidedView app on phones and no download on a computer.

Can ScreenMeet run unattended?

Yes. ScreenMeet lists unattended support and admin actions for computers and Android devices. GuidedView has no unattended access: a session exists only while a customer who is on the phone with you approves and shares their screen, and the customer can stop it at any time.

Does ScreenMeet record sessions?

ScreenMeet's pricing page lists session recording and audit among its platform capabilities. GuidedView does not record or store screen video. If your organization requires session records, confirm your own policies before choosing a tool.

Is ScreenMeet the same as Screenleap?

No. They are separate companies with similar names. ScreenMeet is enterprise remote support built into ServiceNow, Salesforce and Tanium. Screenleap is a browser-based screen sharing and online meeting tool with a free plan. We compare GuidedView with Screenleap on its own page.

How much does ScreenMeet cost?

ScreenMeet does not publish prices as of November 2026. It quotes per active agent seat for annual or multi-year agreements and says implementation and integrations carry no extra charge. GuidedView is $29.99 a month per account, billed monthly.
