What should a small business compare?
GuidedView is our product. We include it where it fits and say plainly where another tool is the better choice. Competitor details were checked against each vendor's own pages in November 2026.
Small businesses should compare remote support software on four things that list prices hide. The first is the billing period: TeamViewer, AnyDesk, Splashtop and RemotePC HelpDesk bill yearly, so the advertised monthly price is paid up front for twelve months, while Zoho Assist and GuidedView offer month-to-month billing. The second is the pricing unit: most tools charge per technician or per concurrent session, and some cap how many sessions run at once. The third is what is included: phone support, session recording and unattended access often sit on a higher plan or cost extra, as with TeamViewer's mobile device support add-on. The fourth is setup effort: whether customers download a file, whether you deploy agents to computers, and whether anyone needs a Google or Microsoft account. A cheap plan that lacks iPhone support, or locks you into a year, can cost more than a slightly higher monthly price.

Monthly or annual: what do you actually pay up front?
Annual-only plans look cheaper per month but cost more on day one. TeamViewer Business at $50.90 a month billed yearly is $610.80 up front, and TeamViewer subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 28 days before the term ends. AnyDesk Solo at $28.90 a month billed annually is $346.80 a year, with a 20% discount on the first year only. Splashtop SOS bills $259 or $399 per concurrent technician per year. RemotePC HelpDesk is $9.95 for the first year and $99.50 a year after that.
Zoho Assist is the full-control suite here with a monthly option: Standard is $12 per technician billed monthly, or $10 billed annually. GuidedView is billed monthly only, at $29.99 per account, and can be canceled anytime from the portal. See GuidedView pricing.
1. Zoho Assist: best value with monthly billing
Best for: small support teams that want full remote control of computers without an annual contract. Standard includes two concurrent sessions. iPhone and Android support starts on Professional ($15 annually, $18 monthly), and session recording on Enterprise ($24 annually, $28 monthly). Unattended access is a separate plan line priced per 25 computers. Setup: Windows customers join at join.zoho.com and run a small file; Mac and Linux customers use a Quick Support plugin. There is a free plan and a 15-day trial, and local taxes are added. Compare GuidedView and Zoho Assist.
2. RemotePC HelpDesk: lowest yearly price
Best for: very small IT shops that want inexpensive attended support. Five technicians cost $249.50 a year and unlimited technicians $499.50 a year. Technicians invite customers by email, SMS, link or code, can record sessions, and can control Android phones through the HelpDesk Host app. Watch-outs: HelpDesk is billed yearly, the customer installs software on a computer (RemotePC says it is removed after the session), unattended access is a separate RemotePC plan, and iPhone control is not documented.
3. Splashtop SOS: best for attended plus unattended support
Best for: help desks and MSPs. Splashtop Remote Support SOS is $259 per concurrent technician per year with 10 managed computers, or $399 with 300, and up to 10 users can share one license, one active at a time. Attended iPhone and Android support, chat, in-session voice and session recording are included. Watch-outs: all subscriptions are billed yearly, the customer downloads the Splashtop SOS app to get a 9-digit code, and iPhone is view-only. Compare GuidedView and Splashtop.
4. AnyDesk: best for a solo technician
Best for: one technician who wants fast, full remote control plus unattended access. Solo includes interactive connections to unlimited devices, mobile platforms, session recording and 100 managed devices; teams move to Standard at $49.90 a month billed annually. Watch-outs: billing is yearly, Solo allows one connection at a time, and the free version is for personal use. Customers can run the client without installing it. iPhone is view-only, and Android control needs a plugin.
5. TeamViewer: best for broad device coverage
Best for: IT teams and MSPs that need full control and unattended access across many device types. Business covers one licensed user, one concurrent connection and 200 managed devices. The cheaper Remote Access plan ($24.90) does not include unlimited attended devices, so it is not built for supporting customers. Watch-outs: billing is annual, the free version is for personal use only, and iPhone viewing needs the mobile add-on. There is a 30-day trial on Business.
6. Chrome Remote Desktop: best free option for any computer
Best for: occasional computer-to-computer help at no cost. Chrome Remote Desktop has no paid tier. The person being helped opens remotedesktop.google.com/support in Chrome, installs a small component and reads out a one-time code, and the helper gets full control. Watch-outs: it covers computers only, TechRepublic reports both computers must be signed in to a Google account, the sharer reconfirms every 30 minutes, and there is no recording or admin console.
7. Quick Assist: best free option between Windows PCs
Best for: free, one-off help between Windows PCs. Quick Assist is built into Windows 10 and 11. The helper signs in with a Microsoft account and shares a time-limited code, and the other person enters it and approves view or full control. Watch-outs: Windows only for general use, no iPhone or Android, no recording and no unattended access. Microsoft recommends its paid Intune Remote Help for organizations.
8. GuidedView: best for helping someone during a phone call
Best for: small businesses that help customers over the phone, such as insurance agencies, property managers and tax preparers, and need to see iPhones and Android phones as well as computers. Setup: sign up, subscribe and send a link by text or email; there is nothing to deploy and no code for your website. Customers use a free phone app or a computer browser and never need an account. Watch-outs: view-only, no recording, no unattended access, and available in the United States only.

Questions
What is the cheapest remote support software for a small business?
Quick Assist and Chrome Remote Desktop are free but cover computers only. Among paid tools, RemotePC HelpDesk is $9.95 for the first year and $99.50 a year after for one technician, and Zoho Assist Standard is $10 per technician per month billed annually, as of November 2026. Check that the plan includes phone support.
Which remote support tools offer monthly billing?
Of the tools in this guide, Zoho Assist ($12 per technician billed monthly) and GuidedView ($29.99 per account) offer month-to-month billing. TeamViewer, AnyDesk, Splashtop and RemotePC HelpDesk advertise yearly billing only.
Do I need a license for every technician?
Usually. Zoho Assist, RemotePC HelpDesk and GuidedView price per technician or account. Splashtop prices per concurrent technician and lets up to 10 users share one license, one at a time. TeamViewer Business and AnyDesk Solo each cover one licensed user with one connection at a time.
Can I use TeamViewer's free version for my business?
No. TeamViewer is free for personal, non-commercial use only, and commercial use requires a paid license. AnyDesk's free version is also for personal use. Zoho Assist offers a free plan, and Quick Assist and Chrome Remote Desktop are free with no business tier.
Which of these can control an iPhone?
None that we could verify. Zoho Assist, Splashtop, AnyDesk and TeamViewer document iPhone as view-only, most citing Apple's restrictions, RemotePC does not document iPhone control, and Chrome Remote Desktop and Quick Assist cannot show an iPhone screen at all. Android control is available on supported devices in all five paid suites.
