Why do teams look for a TeamViewer alternative?
GuidedView is our product. We include it where it fits and say plainly where another tool is the better choice. Competitor details were checked against each vendor's own pages in November 2026.
TeamViewer is a full remote access and remote control platform from TeamViewer SE, and it remains one of the most complete options for IT teams that support many computers. The reasons businesses compare alternatives are mostly about price and fit rather than capability. As of November 2026, TeamViewer Business, the cheapest plan that covers supporting customers, lists US$50.90 per month billed yearly for one licensed user, and adding mobile device support raises it to US$63.85 per month. Subscriptions auto-renew every 12 months unless canceled at least 28 days before the term ends. The cheaper Remote Access plan does not include connecting to unlimited attended devices, so it does not cover customer support. On an iPhone, TeamViewer can only view the screen, because iOS does not allow remote control, and customers run TeamViewer QuickSupport on computers and install the QuickSupport app on phones.
Those facts weigh most on small teams, monthly-billing buyers and businesses whose customers call from phones. For unattended access, recording or add-ons such as device monitoring, endpoint protection and MDM, TeamViewer's catalog is broader than most tools below.

AnyDesk: the closest like-for-like swap
AnyDesk, from AnyDesk Software GmbH, gives a licensed user full control of computers, plus Android control once the customer installs a control plugin. As of November 2026, Solo lists $28.90 per month billed annually with unattended access to 100 managed devices, session recording and mobile platforms. It is labeled single-person use with one connection; teams move to Standard at $49.90 per month billed annually.
Best for: a technician who wants TeamViewer-style control for less. Watch-outs: yearly billing only, iPhones are view-only, and customers download the AnyDesk client. See GuidedView vs AnyDesk.
Splashtop Remote Support: attended and unattended in one license
Splashtop's SOS plan connects a technician to a customer's computer or phone using a 9-digit code from the Splashtop SOS app. As of November 2026 it starts at $22 per month per concurrent technician license, billed annually at $259 with 10 managed computers or $399 with 300. Up to 10 users can share a license, and attended iPhone and Android support, chat, in-session voice and session recording are included.
Best for: help desks and MSPs that want broad coverage for less. Watch-outs: yearly billing only, iPhones are view-only, and iPhone sharing should start after the call is active, because Splashtop notes that Apple's screen recording ends when a call comes in. Compare GuidedView vs Splashtop.
Zoho Assist: monthly billing and a free plan
Zoho Assist is a cloud remote support tool where customers join by link, session ID or app. Unlike TeamViewer, it bills monthly as well as annually: Remote Support Standard is US$12 per technician per month billed monthly or US$10 billed annually as of November 2026. Phone support starts on Professional (US$15 annually) and session recording on Enterprise (US$24 annually), and there is a free plan.
Best for: budget-conscious teams that want full computer control without a yearly commitment. Watch-outs: iPhones are view-only, Windows customers run a small ZA_Connect download, and unattended access is a separate plan. Read GuidedView vs Zoho Assist.
RemotePC HelpDesk: a low yearly price per technician
RemotePC HelpDesk, part of RemotePC by IDrive, adds on-demand and scheduled support to RemotePC's remote access product. Technicians invite customers by email, SMS, link or code, and the customer installs the HelpDesk app, which the vendor says is removed after the session. As of November 2026, one technician is $99.50 a year after a $9.95 promotional first year, and unlimited technicians are $499.50. Sessions can be recorded.
Best for: small IT shops that want inexpensive attended support. Watch-outs: yearly pricing, no unattended access in HelpDesk itself, and iPhone control is not documented. See GuidedView vs RemotePC.
ScreenConnect: a toolkit built for MSPs
ScreenConnect, sold by ConnectWise, connects a technician to a guest device through a downloaded guest client or mobile app, with IT tools such as Backstage, a remote command line and Wake-on-LAN. As of November 2026, the One plan is $30 per month billed annually but allows one session and excludes phone support. Standard, the cheapest plan with iPhone and Android guests, is $47 per month per concurrent technician billed annually or $62 monthly, and adds unlimited unattended agents, recording and VoIP.
Best for: MSPs and IT departments managing many computers. Watch-outs: iPhones are view-only, and customers run a guest client on computers. Read GuidedView vs ScreenConnect.
RustDesk: open source and self-hosted
RustDesk is an open source remote desktop app that connects devices by ID and password through a server you host. The open source server is free, and Server Pro starts at $11.88 per month billed annually for one login user and 20 managed devices as of November 2026. It supports full control of computers and Android devices, unattended access and automatic session recording.
Best for: technical teams that want low-cost control on infrastructure they run. Watch-outs: you maintain the server, iPhones cannot share their screen, and the Android app comes from GitHub Releases or F-Droid rather than Google Play. See GuidedView vs RustDesk.
GuidedView: for help that happens on a phone call
GuidedView is not a TeamViewer replacement for IT work: it has no remote control or unattended access. It does a narrower job, showing you a customer's screen while you talk on a normal phone call. You text or email a one-time link, and the customer opens it on the device they need help with, confirms the call and approves. iPhone and Android customers use a free app; computer users share from a supported browser. The customer does the tapping and can pause before passwords or payment details.
Best for: agents and support staff whose customers call from their phones. Price: $29.99 per month, billed monthly. See how it works.
How to choose a TeamViewer alternative
- You control computers all day: start with Splashtop, AnyDesk or ScreenConnect, and compare per-user with per-concurrent-technician pricing.
- You want to avoid a yearly contract: Zoho Assist, ScreenConnect Standard and GuidedView bill monthly.
- You need servers you control: RustDesk is the self-hosted option.
- Your customers call from iPhones: TeamViewer, AnyDesk, Splashtop, Zoho Assist and ScreenConnect all document iPhones as view-only, so pick the tool that is easiest for a customer to start.
- You mostly guide people during calls: GuidedView starts from a link sent on the call and needs no customer account.

Questions
Is there a free TeamViewer alternative for business use?
TeamViewer itself is free only for personal, non-commercial use. Among the tools here, RustDesk's open source server is free if you host and maintain it yourself, and Zoho Assist offers a free plan alongside its paid tiers.
Can any TeamViewer alternative control an iPhone?
No tool on this list can remotely control an iPhone. TeamViewer, AnyDesk, Splashtop, Zoho Assist and ScreenConnect each document iPhones as view-only, and RustDesk cannot share an iPhone screen at all. Several of these tools can control supported Android devices once the customer enables an add-on or accessibility permission.
Which TeamViewer alternative is cheapest?
As of November 2026, RemotePC HelpDesk lists one technician at $99.50 per year after a $9.95 promotional first year, and Zoho Assist Standard is US$10 per technician per month billed annually. RustDesk is free if you self-host. Check what each price includes; mobile support and recording sit on different tiers.
When do I need to cancel TeamViewer?
TeamViewer's pricing page says subscriptions auto-renew every 12 months unless canceled at least 28 days before the end of the term. Check your renewal date in your TeamViewer account before you switch, and confirm the current terms with TeamViewer directly.
Can I use GuidedView alongside TeamViewer?
Yes. TeamViewer controls the computers you manage, and GuidedView shows a caller's phone or computer screen during the call. GuidedView needs no IT deployment or code, and each account is $29.99 a month.
