The best AnyDesk alternatives for 2026

By the GuidedView teamUpdated

Short answer

If AnyDesk's yearly billing or single-person Solo plan is the issue, Zoho Assist offers monthly billing and Splashtop lets up to 10 users share one concurrent license. RustDesk is open source and self-hosted, while ScreenConnect and TeamViewer add deeper IT tooling. GuidedView fits a different need: seeing a caller's iPhone, Android or computer screen during a normal phone call, view-only, for $29.99 a month billed monthly.

What makes teams compare AnyDesk alternatives?

Disclosure

GuidedView is our product. We include it where it fits and say plainly where another tool is the better choice. Competitor details were checked against each vendor's own pages in November 2026.

AnyDesk is a remote desktop application from AnyDesk Software GmbH that gives a licensed user full control of other computers, with unattended access and central management on higher tiers. It is quick to start and inexpensive for one person, which is why many technicians use it. The reasons to compare alternatives are mostly about licensing. As of November 2026, AnyDesk says all plans are billed yearly. The $28.90 per month Solo plan is labeled single-person use and includes one connection, so a team moves to Standard at $49.90 per month billed annually. The 20% introductory discount shown on the pricing page applies to the first year only. On phones, AnyDesk can view an iPhone or iPad but cannot control it, and Android control requires the customer to install a control plugin and enable it in Accessibility settings. On computers, customers download the AnyDesk client, although it can run portably without installation.

AnyDesk is still a strong pick if you want unattended access to 100 managed devices on a single-user plan, session recording on every paid plan, custom-branded clients or the on-premises deployment offered on Ultimate.

Zoho Assist: the fix for yearly billing

Zoho Assist is the first alternative to look at if annual billing is the sticking point. As of November 2026, Remote Support Standard is US$10 per technician per month billed annually or US$12 billed monthly, with two concurrent sessions. Phone support starts on Professional at US$15 annually or US$18 monthly, and session recording starts on Enterprise at US$24. Zoho also offers a free plan, a 15-day trial and integrations with Zendesk, ServiceNow, Freshservice, Freshdesk and Jira.

Best for: small support teams that want full computer control and flexible billing. Watch-outs: unlike AnyDesk Solo, recording and unattended access are not in the entry plan (unattended is sold as its own plan line), and iPhones are view-only. See GuidedView vs Zoho Assist.

Splashtop Remote Support: one license, several technicians

Splashtop solves AnyDesk's one-person limit differently. Its SOS license is per concurrent technician, and up to 10 users can share one license as long as only one is active at a time. As of November 2026, SOS starts at $22 per month billed annually ($259 a year) with 10 managed computers, or $399 a year with 300. Attended iPhone and Android support, chat, an in-session voice call and session recording are included.

Best for: small help desks with several part-time technicians. Watch-outs: billing is yearly only, iPhones are view-only, and the customer runs the SOS app and reads out a 9-digit code. See GuidedView vs Splashtop.

GuidedView: see the screen, stay on the call

GuidedView covers a different job than AnyDesk. It is view-only: you see the customer's screen live in your browser while you both stay on a normal phone call, and the customer does every tap and keystroke as you talk them through it. Instead of reading out an ID, the customer opens a one-time link you text or email, confirms they are on a call with you and approves sharing. iPhone and Android users install the free GuidedView app, and computer users share from a supported browser.

Best for: teams whose customers call from their phones and need guidance, not a technician taking over. Watch-outs: no remote control, no unattended access and no recording. Price: $29.99 per month, billed monthly. See pricing.

RustDesk: the open source route

RustDesk is an open source remote desktop app. You host your own server, either free with the open source edition or with a Server Pro license from $11.88 per month billed annually (one login user, 20 managed devices) as of November 2026. Self-hosting keeps connection data on infrastructure you control, and the client supports full control of computers and Android devices, unattended access and automatic recording.

Best for: technical teams comfortable running a server. Watch-outs: you maintain that server, iPhones cannot share their screen, the Android app is distributed through GitHub Releases or F-Droid instead of Google Play, and RustDesk's public server requires controllers to sign in with a third-party account. See GuidedView vs RustDesk.

ScreenConnect: more IT tooling, monthly option

ScreenConnect, from ConnectWise, adds an IT toolset aimed at MSPs: Backstage, a remote command line, Wake-on-LAN and remote diagnostics. Standard, the cheapest plan with iPhone and Android guest clients, is $47 per month per concurrent technician billed annually or $62 billed monthly as of November 2026, and includes up to three sessions per technician, unlimited unattended agents, session recording and VoIP audio. The $30 One plan is annual only, limited to one session and has no phone support.

Best for: MSPs. Watch-outs: customers run a guest client on computers, and Android control requires Samsung devices on Android 5 or later, or other brands on Android 7 or later. See GuidedView vs ScreenConnect.

TeamViewer: the broader platform

TeamViewer goes beyond remote control. Its Business plan covers one licensed user, up to three concurrent sessions in tabs and 200 managed devices, with session recording, and add-ons cover device monitoring, asset management, endpoint protection and mobile device management. Higher plans integrate with ServiceNow, Zendesk and Jamf. As of November 2026, Business is US$50.90 per month billed yearly, or US$63.85 with mobile device support.

Best for: IT teams that want one vendor for support and device management. Watch-outs: it costs more than AnyDesk Solo, billing is yearly with auto-renewal, iPhones are view-only and customers install TeamViewer QuickSupport. See GuidedView vs TeamViewer.

How to pick the right AnyDesk replacement

  1. Decide whether you need control or just a view. If a technician must operate the computer, stay with remote control tools. If the customer can tap while you explain, a view-only tool is simpler for them to start.
  2. Match the billing model to your team. AnyDesk and Splashtop bill yearly; Zoho Assist, ScreenConnect Standard and GuidedView offer monthly billing.
  3. Count technicians the way the vendor does. Per user, per concurrent technician and per license all price differently.
  4. Check where your customers are. If most of them call from iPhones, every remote control tool here is view-only on iPhone anyway.
  5. Ask whether you can run a server. RustDesk saves money only if someone maintains it.

Questions

Is AnyDesk free for business use?

No. AnyDesk is free for personal use with limited features, and professional users need a license. Its pricing FAQ says only the person who starts a session needs a license, so the customers you connect to do not pay or sign up.

Which AnyDesk alternative has monthly billing?

As of November 2026, Zoho Assist bills US$12 per technician per month on its monthly plan, ScreenConnect Standard is $62 per concurrent technician billed monthly, and GuidedView is $29.99 per month billed monthly with cancellation from the portal. Splashtop, TeamViewer and RustDesk Server Pro list annual billing.

Can AnyDesk alternatives control an Android phone?

Several can. Zoho Assist, Splashtop, ScreenConnect, TeamViewer and RustDesk all document Android control on supported devices, usually after the customer installs an add-on or grants an accessibility permission. GuidedView is view-only on every device; the customer taps while you guide them.

Which alternative is easiest for a customer to start?

With most remote support tools, the customer downloads an app and reads out a code or ID. GuidedView starts from a one-time link texted or emailed during the call. On a computer it runs in the browser with no download, and on iPhone or Android the customer installs the free app.

Will I lose session recording if I leave AnyDesk?

Not necessarily. Splashtop SOS, ScreenConnect Standard, TeamViewer Business and RustDesk include recording, and Zoho Assist adds it on Enterprise. GuidedView does not record; sessions are live only, which suits teams that prefer not to store screen video and rules it out for teams that need recordings.
