The best Splashtop alternatives for 2026

By the GuidedView teamUpdated

Short answer

Splashtop is already affordable, so alternatives usually win on billing or fit. Zoho Assist offers month-to-month billing, AnyDesk Solo bundles 100 unattended devices for one technician, ScreenConnect adds MSP tooling and a monthly option, RemotePC HelpDesk has a low yearly price and LogMeIn Resolve adds RMM and helpdesk. GuidedView is for support that happens on a phone call: it shows the caller's iPhone, Android or computer screen, view-only, for $29.99 a month.

Why would you replace Splashtop?

Disclosure

GuidedView is our product. We include it where it fits and say plainly where another tool is the better choice. Competitor details were checked against each vendor's own pages in November 2026.

Splashtop Remote Support is a remote support product from Splashtop Inc. in which a technician connects to a customer's computer or phone using a 9-digit code shown in the Splashtop SOS app. It is known for value: as of November 2026 the SOS plan starts at $22 per month per concurrent technician license, up to 10 users can share a license, and each license includes 10 or 300 managed computers for unattended access. The reasons to compare alternatives are narrower. Splashtop's FAQ says all subscriptions are billed yearly, so there is no month-to-month option. iPhones are view-only because of Apple's restrictions, and Splashtop notes that Apple's screen recording stops if an incoming call arrives, so iPhone sharing works best when it starts after the phone call is already active. Unattended Android access and cloud session recording are Enterprise features, and Remote Support Enterprise is quote-only.

If your priority is full control of Windows, Mac and Linux computers at a low price per technician, with add-ons for patching, endpoint management, antivirus and EDR, Splashtop may still be your best option.

Zoho Assist: pay month to month

If Splashtop's yearly billing is the main problem, Zoho Assist is the most direct fix. As of November 2026, Remote Support Standard is US$12 per technician billed monthly or US$10 billed annually, and Professional, which adds iPhone and Android support, is US$18 monthly or US$15 annually. Zoho also lists concurrent and session-based options, a free plan and a 15-day trial. Built-in voice chat starts on Standard and video chat on Enterprise.

Best for: small teams that want to pay month to month. Watch-outs: session recording starts on Enterprise, unattended access is a separate plan, and iPhones are view-only. See GuidedView vs Zoho Assist.

GuidedView: built around the phone call

GuidedView is built around a customer who is already on a phone call with you. You stay on that call, text or email a one-time link, and the customer opens it on the iPhone, Android phone or computer they need help with. They confirm they are on a call with the sender, approve sharing, and their screen appears live in your browser. Unused links expire after 30 minutes, and a used link cannot be reused, so an old invitation cannot reopen a session.

Best for: teams that guide customers through apps and accounts by phone. Watch-outs: view-only, with no remote control, unattended access or recording, and available in the United States only. Price: $29.99 per month, billed monthly. See how it works.

AnyDesk: one technician, 100 unattended devices

AnyDesk's Solo plan suits a technician who mostly reaches unattended machines. As of November 2026 it is $28.90 per month billed annually and includes 100 managed devices, mobile platforms, session recording and a portable client that runs without installation or admin rights. Teams of up to 20 users move to Standard at $49.90 per month billed annually.

Best for: solo IT pros and very small teams. Watch-outs: like Splashtop, AnyDesk bills yearly; iPhones are view-only, and Android control needs a plugin enabled in Accessibility settings. See GuidedView vs AnyDesk.

ScreenConnect: MSP tooling with a monthly option

ScreenConnect, sold by ConnectWise, competes with Splashtop for MSP work. As of November 2026, Standard is $47 per month per concurrent technician billed annually or $62 billed monthly, with up to three sessions per technician, unlimited unattended agents, iPhone and Android guest clients, session recording and VoIP audio. Its IT tools include Backstage, a remote command line and Wake-on-LAN.

Best for: MSPs that want monthly billing and unlimited unattended agents. Watch-outs: it costs more than Splashtop SOS, the $30 One plan omits phone support, and Android control requires Samsung on Android 5 or later or another brand on Android 7 or later. See GuidedView vs ScreenConnect.

RemotePC HelpDesk: priced by the year

RemotePC HelpDesk, from IDrive, is priced per technician by the year: $99.50 for one technician after a $9.95 promotional first year, $249.50 for five and $499.50 for unlimited technicians, as of November 2026. It supports email, SMS, link or code invitations and scheduled sessions, Android control through the HelpDesk Host app with Accessibility permission, and session recording with logs.

Best for: small IT shops that want a fixed, low yearly bill. Watch-outs: HelpDesk does not include unattended access (that comes from RemotePC's separate remote access plans), and iPhone control is not documented. See GuidedView vs RemotePC.

LogMeIn Resolve: consolidate support and device management

LogMeIn Resolve, formerly GoTo Resolve, makes sense if you are adding Splashtop's patching and endpoint add-ons to your plan. Resolve bundles remote support, unattended access, RMM, patch management, helpdesk ticketing and asset management, priced per managed endpoint with unlimited users. As of November 2026, Advanced is $749 a year for a 25-endpoint minimum and includes one Remote Support license.

Best for: internal IT teams consolidating tools. Watch-outs: attended instant support is limited to Remote Support license holders, and you should check LogMeIn's site for current monthly pricing. See GuidedView vs LogMeIn Resolve.

Choosing between them

Start with one question

Does a technician need to operate the device, or does the customer just need someone to see their screen and explain the next step? The first points to Splashtop and the remote control tools here. The second points to a view-only tool.

  • Monthly billing: Zoho Assist, ScreenConnect Standard or GuidedView.
  • More unattended devices per dollar: compare AnyDesk Solo (100) and ScreenConnect Standard (unlimited) against Splashtop's 10 or 300.
  • One bill for IT management: LogMeIn Resolve.
  • Customers on iPhones: Splashtop, Zoho Assist, AnyDesk, ScreenConnect and LogMeIn Resolve all view iPhones without controlling them, so pick the one that is easiest for the customer to start. See the best remote support apps for iPhone.

Questions

Does Splashtop offer monthly billing?

No. As of November 2026, Splashtop's FAQ says all subscriptions are billed yearly. The SOS plan is quoted as starting at $22 per month per concurrent technician, but it is billed annually at $259 or $399. Zoho Assist, ScreenConnect Standard and GuidedView all offer monthly billing.

Can Splashtop control an iPhone?

No. Splashtop states that Apple's security restrictions prevent remote control of iOS devices, so technicians can view an iPhone or iPad screen through the Splashtop SOS app but not control it. Android control is possible on many devices through an add-on app or the accessibility service on Android 8.0 and above.

What happens if an iPhone gets a call during a Splashtop session?

Splashtop notes that Apple's screen recording ends if an incoming call arrives, but works when sharing is started during an active call. In practice, that means calling the customer first and then having them start sharing from the Splashtop SOS app.

Which Splashtop alternative is best for phone-call support?

If customers call you and need help with their own phone, a tool built around the call is simpler than a remote support console. GuidedView starts from a link sent during the call, needs no customer account and is view-only on iPhone, Android and computers. For hands-on control of computers, Splashtop or Zoho Assist remains the better fit.

Can I keep Splashtop and add GuidedView?

Yes. The two do different jobs: Splashtop for controlling the computers you manage, and GuidedView for seeing a caller's screen during a phone call. GuidedView needs no IT deployment, and each account is $29.99 a month, billed monthly.
