Why switch from Zoho Assist?
GuidedView is our product. We include it where it fits and say plainly where another tool is the better choice. Competitor details were checked against each vendor's own pages in November 2026.
Zoho Assist is a cloud remote support tool from Zoho Corporation where a technician starts a session and the customer joins by link, session ID or app. It is one of the least expensive tools in the category and offers both monthly and annual billing, so price is rarely the reason teams leave. The usual friction is plan structure and customer setup. As of November 2026, Remote Support Standard is US$10 per technician per month billed annually, but support for iPhones and Android phones starts on Professional at US$15, and session recording starts on Enterprise at US$24. Unattended access is a separate plan line priced per 25 computers. On Windows, the customer joins at join.zoho.com and runs a small ZA_Connect.exe file, while Mac and Linux customers use a Quick Support plugin. On iPhone, Zoho states that Apple does not support remote control, so the technician can view the screen but not operate it.
Before you move, check whether a replacement matches what Zoho does well: integrations with Zendesk, ServiceNow, Freshservice, Freshdesk and Jira, and coverage of Linux, Raspberry Pi and IoT devices.

| LogMeIn Resolve | IT teams that want RMM, patching and helpdesk in one tool | View only (iOS Remote View on all plans) | Browser link to start; applet for control; app on phones | Advanced $749/year (25-endpoint minimum) |

Splashtop Remote Support: everything in the entry plan
Where Zoho spreads phone support and recording across higher tiers, Splashtop's SOS plan includes attended iPhone and Android support, chat, an in-session voice call and session recording at its starting price. As of November 2026 that is $22 per month per concurrent technician, billed annually at $259 a year. Each license also includes 10 managed computers for unattended access, or 300 on the $399 option, and up to 10 users can share it.
Best for: help desks that want one plan for computers, phones and unattended machines. Watch-outs: Splashtop bills yearly only, so you give up Zoho's monthly option, and customers run the SOS app. See GuidedView vs Splashtop.
AnyDesk: control, recording and unattended in one license
AnyDesk's Solo plan, $28.90 per month billed annually as of November 2026, includes session recording, mobile platforms and unattended access to 100 managed devices, which Zoho sells on separate tiers or plans. The trade-off is that Solo is single-person use with one connection; teams need Standard at $49.90 per month billed annually. Customers download the AnyDesk client, which can run without installation on Windows, macOS and Linux.
Best for: a solo technician who wants everything in one license. Watch-outs: yearly billing only, iPhones are view-only, and Android control needs a plugin. See GuidedView vs AnyDesk.
LogMeIn Resolve: remote support plus IT management
LogMeIn Resolve, formerly GoTo Resolve, combines remote support with unattended access, RMM, patch management and helpdesk ticketing, priced per managed endpoint with unlimited agents. As of November 2026, Advanced is $2.50 per endpoint per month, billed at $749 a year for a 25-endpoint minimum, and includes one Remote Support license. Android remote control, iOS remote view and session recording are listed on all plans, and sessions can be sent by link, SMS or email.
Best for: internal IT teams that want support and device management together. Watch-outs: instant support sessions are limited to Remote Support license holders, and endpoint pricing fits IT better than customer service. See GuidedView vs LogMeIn Resolve.
RemotePC HelpDesk: a fixed low yearly price
RemotePC HelpDesk competes with Zoho on cost. As of November 2026 it lists one technician at $99.50 per year after a $9.95 promotional first year, five technicians at $249.50 and unlimited technicians at $499.50. Technicians invite customers by email, SMS, link or code, can schedule sessions in advance and can record sessions, which then appear in session logs.
Best for: small IT shops that want a predictable yearly bill. Watch-outs: no monthly option is listed on the HelpDesk page, the first-year price renews higher, HelpDesk itself does not include unattended access, and the customer installs the HelpDesk app on computers and phones. See GuidedView vs RemotePC.
GuidedView: a simpler tool for client-facing calls
GuidedView is narrower than Zoho Assist. It is view-only, with no remote control or unattended access, and it is designed for the moment a customer is on the phone and stuck on their own device. You send a one-time link by text or email, the customer approves, and their iPhone, Android or computer screen appears live in your browser while you keep talking on the same call. Customers need no account, and computer users share from a supported browser without downloading anything.
Best for: client-facing teams that guide people through apps, portals and forms. Price: $29.99 per month, billed monthly, with every feature included. Watch-outs: no recordings, and it is available in the United States only. See how GuidedView works.
ScreenConnect: when the work looks like an MSP's
ScreenConnect, sold by ConnectWise, is the pick when you manage fleets of computers: unlimited unattended agents on Standard and Premium, plus Backstage, a remote command line, Wake-on-LAN and remote diagnostics. As of November 2026, Standard is $47 per month per concurrent technician billed annually or $62 monthly, and it is the cheapest plan with iPhone and Android guest clients, session recording and VoIP.
Best for: MSPs and IT departments. Watch-outs: it costs more than Zoho's entry plans, and customers run a guest client on computers. See GuidedView vs ScreenConnect.
Which Zoho Assist alternative fits your team?
| If you need | Look at |
|---|---|
| Phones and recording without upgrading tiers | Splashtop Remote Support |
| Unattended access bundled with one technician | AnyDesk Solo |
| Patching, RMM and tickets in the same tool | LogMeIn Resolve |
| A low, fixed yearly cost | RemotePC HelpDesk |
| Unlimited unattended agents and MSP tooling | ScreenConnect Standard |
| To see a caller's phone or computer screen, nothing more | GuidedView |
If your team needs both, a remote control tool for managed computers and GuidedView for customers on the phone can sit side by side. See how to see a customer's screen during a phone call.
Questions
Does Zoho Assist support iPhones?
Yes, for viewing. Zoho Assist's mobile device support starts on the Professional plan, and the customer installs the Zoho Assist Customer App and its add-on, then taps Start Broadcast. Zoho states that Apple does not support remote control of iOS devices, so the technician can view an iPhone screen but not control it.
Which alternative includes session recording on its cheapest plan?
Splashtop SOS includes session recording in its entry plan, AnyDesk includes it on every paid plan including Solo, and RemotePC HelpDesk technicians can record sessions. ScreenConnect adds recording on Standard but not on One. Zoho Assist starts recording on Enterprise. GuidedView does not record sessions at all.
Is there a Zoho Assist alternative with monthly billing?
Yes. As of November 2026, ScreenConnect Standard is $62 per month per concurrent technician billed monthly, and GuidedView is $29.99 per month billed monthly with cancellation from the portal. Splashtop, AnyDesk and RemotePC HelpDesk list yearly billing.
Do customers need an account with any of these tools?
No. Zoho Assist, Splashtop, AnyDesk, LogMeIn Resolve, RemotePC HelpDesk and ScreenConnect all document customer flows with no sign-in, using a code, link or session key. GuidedView customers also need no account; only the agent who sends the invitation has one.
What if I only need to help customers on web pages?
Zoho separately markets Cobrowse by Zoho Assist for helping customers on web pages without a download. Co-browsing shows web pages rather than the full screen. If the problem might be in a mobile app, email or another company's site, screen sharing shows more of what the customer actually sees.
