What is BeyondTrust Remote Support?
BeyondTrust Remote Support, formerly Bomgar, is an enterprise remote support platform that BeyondTrust offers as a hosted cloud service or on premises on its B Series Appliance, in physical or virtual form. A customer joins a session from a public support portal, a session key or a link from a representative. Chat can start in the browser, but to share their screen the customer moves to BeyondTrust's downloaded customer client, which must be elevated on Windows. Representatives can then view and control computers, view iPhone screens and control supported Android devices, and IT teams keep Jump Clients installed for unattended access. Administrators can record screen sharing automatically, and BeyondTrust integrates with ServiceNow and can send session event data to a SIEM tool. BeyondTrust Remote Support is built for large enterprises and regulated service desks that need audited, policy-controlled remote access across many device types, and it is priced by sales quote.
Can BeyondTrust Remote Support see an iPhone or Android screen?
Yes. On an iPhone, the customer installs the BeyondTrust Remote Support Customer Client app and starts a Screen Recording broadcast, and BeyondTrust's documentation describes the result as view-only screen sharing to the representative console.
On Android, the customer installs the BeyondTrust Support Client app from Google Play. Full screen sharing and control are possible, but BeyondTrust officially supports phones, tablets and Zebra devices, features vary by vendor and device, and Samsung devices use a Samsung-specific permission. File transfer on Android 11 or later needs a separate Support+ Client.
GuidedView's phone support is simpler and narrower. The customer opens your text or email invitation, the free GuidedView app opens, and they confirm they are on a call with you before approving sharing. You see the screen live and talk them through each step, and they can pause before typing a password or code. While paused, you cannot see the screen, and only the customer can resume.
What does the customer do on a computer?
BeyondTrust offers browser-based click-to-chat with no download, which is useful for a text conversation. To share a screen, though, the representative asks the customer to elevate to full remote support, which means downloading and running the BeyondTrust customer client. On Windows the client must be elevated, and Linux users must mark the download as executable before installing it.
GuidedView's computer flow stays in the browser. The customer opens the invitation in a supported desktop browser, confirms the call and chooses Share, and the browser asks which screen or window to share. There is no download, which helps when the customer is at home on their own computer rather than on a device your IT team manages. The full customer flow is on how it works.
How do pricing and rollout compare?
BeyondTrust does not publish a price. Its pricing page asks buyers to contact sales for pricing or a custom quote, so check the vendor's current pricing for your seat count and deployment. Rollout reflects the product's scope: choosing between BeyondTrust's cloud and an on-premises appliance, configuring public portals, and connecting integrations such as ServiceNow through BeyondTrust's XML API.
GuidedView has no SDK, no code on your website and no IT deployment. A team member signs up, subscribes and sends a link. Each account is $29.99 a month, billed monthly, and you can cancel anytime from the portal. See GuidedView pricing.
BeyondTrust can automatically record screen sharing, which some regulated teams need. GuidedView does not record sessions. GuidedView does not replace your own compliance obligations or call-recording requirements, so confirm your organization's policies before choosing either tool. Our security page explains how GuidedView sessions work.
Which should you choose?
Choose BeyondTrust Remote Support if
- You need audited, policy-controlled remote access with automatic screen sharing recording.
- Your IT team needs unattended access to endpoints through Jump Clients.
- You want integrations such as ServiceNow ITSM and a SIEM event feed.
- You need the option to host on your own appliance rather than in the vendor's cloud.
- You support Android devices, including Zebra devices, that need hands-on control.
Choose GuidedView if
- Your team helps customers over the phone and needs to see their screen, not control it.
- Your customers are mostly on iPhones and Android phones.
- You want computer users to share from a browser with no download.
- You want sessions that are live only and never recorded.
- You want a published $29.99 monthly price and no IT deployment.
BeyondTrust is a strong fit for regulated enterprise IT, and its weight is deliberate. For a team that just needs to see a customer's phone on a call, that weight is more than the job requires, and GuidedView is built for exactly that smaller job.
Can an enterprise use both?
Yes. An enterprise can keep BeyondTrust Remote Support for its service desk and managed endpoints, where audit trails and unattended access matter, and give customer-facing teams such as sales, onboarding and account service GuidedView for quick phone-call screen viewing. When the customer is on a personal phone or a home computer, a link that opens a free app or a browser tab is a lighter ask than a downloaded client.

Questions
How much does BeyondTrust Remote Support cost?
BeyondTrust does not publish list prices. As of November 2026, its Remote Support pricing page asks buyers to contact sales for pricing or a custom quote, so cost depends on your deployment and seat needs. GuidedView publishes one price: $29.99 a month per account, billed monthly, with every feature included.
Can BeyondTrust control an iPhone?
No. BeyondTrust's iOS documentation describes view-only screen sharing: the customer installs the BeyondTrust Remote Support Customer Client app and starts a Screen Recording broadcast, and the representative watches. GuidedView also works by viewing on iPhone, using Apple's screen broadcast through the free GuidedView app, and it is view-only on every device.
Does GuidedView record sessions like BeyondTrust?
No. GuidedView sessions are live only, and GuidedView does not record or store screen video. If your organization needs session recordings for audit, BeyondTrust's automatic screen sharing recording is designed for that. GuidedView does not replace your own compliance or recording obligations, so confirm your policies before you choose.
Does the customer need an account with either product?
No. BeyondTrust customers join through a public support portal, a session key or a link from a representative. GuidedView customers open a one-time invitation link from a text or email, confirm they are on a call with the sender and approve sharing. In GuidedView, only the agent who sends invitations needs an account.
Is GuidedView a replacement for BeyondTrust?
Not for enterprise IT. GuidedView has no unattended access, no remote control, no session recording and no ITSM integrations. It is a focused tool for one job: seeing a customer's iPhone, Android or computer screen during a normal phone call while the customer does the steps. In many organizations the two would serve different teams.
