What is SightCall?

SightCall is an enterprise video platform for remote visual support, sold as SightCall VISION with plans for Remote Visual Support, Insights and Xpert Knowledge. An expert sends an invitation by email, SMS, QR code or a custom URL, and the customer or technician joins a live video session from a smartphone, tablet or computer, either in a mobile browser without downloading software or through SightCall's optional Visual Support app. The expert sees the guest's live camera and can draw directly on the video, point to components and highlight parts. Add-ons include visual data capture for barcodes, labels and handwritten text, live session translation, and video recording with storage, while knowledge capture tools turn sessions into tutorials. SightCall integrates with Salesforce, NiCE, Genesys, Five9, Zendesk and Microsoft Dynamics, and supports smart glasses and industrial devices. Operating since 2014, it serves global enterprises in field service, insurance claims, customer service, telehealth, manufacturing, utilities and telecom.

Does SightCall share the camera or the screen?

Primarily the camera. SightCall is built around the guest's live video. Its optional Visual Support guest app also lists screen sharing and co-browsing, and SightCall recommends that app for the best feature support, so a team that occasionally needs the phone's screen can get it within SightCall.

GuidedView is the reverse: screen only. The customer shares the phone or computer screen, with no camera and no video. If most of your sessions involve looking at something physical, SightCall is the better fit. If most involve apps, settings and websites, GuidedView is built for that. Our guide to visual customer support compares the two approaches.

What does SightCall's augmented reality add?

It lets the expert show rather than tell. Drawing on the live video, pointing to a component and highlighting a part cut down the back-and-forth of describing which valve or port to touch. Visual data capture can read barcodes, labels and handwritten text, and live translation helps when expert and guest speak different languages.

GuidedView works differently: the agent watches the customer's screen and talks them through it on the phone, which works well for screens because the agent can name the exact button the customer is looking at. Our guide on explaining technical steps over the phone covers how to do that clearly.

Does SightCall work with a normal phone call, and what does it cost?

SightCall sessions are their own live HD video sessions, with chat, and SightCall connects to contact center platforms such as NiCE, Genesys and Five9, so a session can start from the agent's existing tools. GuidedView adds a screen to the call you are already on. It has no in-app voice or video, so the customer keeps talking on their normal phone line and nothing about the call changes.

SightCall lists its plans as per user without showing prices and routes buyers to get in touch. Video recording and storage is an add-on for Remote Visual Support and Insights and is included in Xpert Knowledge. GuidedView is $29.99 a month per account, billed monthly, with every feature in one plan and no recording at all. See GuidedView pricing.

Which should you choose?

Choose SightCall if

  • Your experts need to see equipment, damage or a work site through a live camera
  • You want drawing and pointing on live video, visual data capture or live translation
  • Technicians use smart glasses or industrial devices
  • You need video recording and storage, and integrations with Salesforce, Genesys, Five9 or Zendesk

Choose GuidedView if

  • You need to see the phone or computer screen, not the camera
  • Customers prefer to stay on a normal phone call
  • You want a published price and self-serve sign-up
  • You want sessions that are live only

SightCall is a camera platform for experts in the field; GuidedView is a screen view for people helping over the phone. If the second describes your calls, see how GuidedView works.

Questions

Does the customer need to install SightCall?

No. SightCall says customers can join from their mobile browser without downloading software, and an optional Visual Support app is available, which SightCall recommends for the best feature support. GuidedView customers install the free GuidedView app on iPhone, iPad or Android, or share from a desktop browser.

Can SightCall control the customer's phone?

We found no claim that SightCall controls the guest's device. Experts guide by drawing on the live video and pointing to components. GuidedView does not control devices either; the agent watches the screen while the customer does the tapping.

Does SightCall record video?

Yes, as an option. Video recording and storage is an add-on for the Remote Visual Support and Insights plans and is included in Xpert Knowledge. GuidedView does not record or store anything. Teams with record-keeping requirements should confirm their own policies before choosing.

Which is better for an insurance claim?

For inspecting damage, a camera tool like SightCall fits, because the adjuster needs to see the property. For helping a policyholder upload photos or finish a claim form in an app, a screen view like GuidedView fits. Neither replaces your own claims procedures, carrier rules or compliance obligations. See GuidedView for insurance agents.

How much does SightCall cost?

SightCall does not publish prices as of November 2026. Its plans are listed per user, and buyers are routed to get in touch. GuidedView is $29.99 a month per account, billed monthly.
