Why look beyond TechSee?
GuidedView is our product. We include it where it fits and say plainly where another tool is the better choice. Competitor details were checked against each vendor's own pages in November 2026.
TechSee is a visual assistance platform for customer service and field service. With its Sophie Live product, an agent sends a browser-based camera session link, the customer shows their equipment through the phone's camera, and the agent sees it and marks the part being discussed in the shared view, with no app download for the customer. TechSee connects what the camera sees to approved product instructions and offers self-service and field technician journeys on the same platform, plus integrations such as Sophie for Salesforce. It is aimed at large enterprises in telecom and connectivity, home security, smart home, consumer electronics, appliances, manufacturing and utilities. Three facts shape the search for an alternative. TechSee pricing is tailored and quote-only as of November 2026, with no free trial mentioned. Deployments are enterprise projects. And the agent sees the camera feed, not the phone's screen, which matters when the problem is inside an app.

SightCall: the enterprise camera platform
SightCall VISION is an enterprise video platform for remote visual support. Experts see a customer's or technician's live camera, draw on the video, point to components and highlight parts, and add-ons cover visual capture of barcodes, labels and handwritten text plus live translation. Guests join from an email, SMS or custom URL invitation in Safari or Chrome, through a no-app experience, or with the optional Visual Support app, whose listing also describes screen sharing and co-browsing. Integrations include Salesforce, NiCE, Genesys, Five9, Zendesk and Microsoft Dynamics.
Best for: field service, insurance claims and telehealth organizations at enterprise scale. Watch-outs: every plan is priced per user with no public price, and video recording and storage is an add-on except on Xpert Knowledge. See GuidedView vs SightCall.
Viewabo: self-serve camera sessions
Viewabo is the self-serve option. A business texts or emails a link, and the customer's smartphone camera opens in Safari on iOS 11 or later or Chrome on Android 5.0 or later, with no app and no account; agents use Chrome or Edge on a desktop with nothing to install. The customer sees the agent's cursor and annotations. As of November 2026, Starter is $79 per month billed annually or $99 billed monthly for unlimited seats and 50 sessions, with extra sessions at $3.00 and a 14-day trial with no card. Sessions are recorded, with 90, 180 or 365 days of retention by plan.
Best for: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, solar and hardware teams that want to diagnose before dispatching. Watch-outs: camera only; it cannot see the phone's screen. See GuidedView vs Viewabo.
Glance: camera sharing inside a broader platform
Glance includes Mobile Camera Share inside a broader enterprise platform. The customer opens an SMS link in Safari or Chrome and shares their phone camera with no app download and no website integration. The same vendor provides website co-browsing, mobile app co-browsing, two-way screen sharing and video, embedded in Salesforce, Genesys and Microsoft Dynamics. Glance says session contents are never recorded or stored on its servers.
Best for: enterprises that need camera help alongside co-browsing of their own site or app. Watch-outs: pricing is quote-only, and co-browsing requires a Glance script on every page agents should see. See GuidedView vs Glance.
GuidedView: when the problem is on the screen
Some problems that look like device problems happen on a screen: a smart home app that will not pair, a router app setting, an account login or an update prompt. For those, the screen is the thing to see. GuidedView shows the customer's iPhone, Android or computer screen live while you both stay on a normal phone call. The customer opens a one-time link you text or email, confirms the call, approves and taps through each step as you explain it.
Best for: support teams whose issues happen inside apps, settings and websites. Watch-outs: GuidedView does not use the camera, so it cannot show physical equipment, and it has no recording. Price: $29.99 per month, billed monthly. See what visual customer support is.
AirDroid Remote Support: camera and screen in one app
AirDroid Remote Support, from Sand Studio, covers both sides of the line between camera and screen. The customer installs the AirDroid Remote Support app and reads a 9-digit code to the supporter, who can view or control the device and use AR camera guidance on physical equipment, with built-in chat, voice messages and voice calls. Android control works on Android 7.0 or later, and iPhones are view-only. As of November 2026, Basic is $199 per license per year with 50 connection hours a month, and Standard is $599 with unlimited hours and up to 300 unattended devices.
Best for: teams supporting Android fleets and equipment. Watch-outs: the customer installs an app on every platform, and the paid plans shown are annual. See GuidedView vs AirDroid.
Camera or screen: how to choose
If the customer is describing a cable, a blinking light or a part, you need their camera. If they are describing a button, a message or a setting in an app, you need their screen.
- Enterprise camera support with deep integrations: SightCall or Glance.
- Camera support with public pricing and unlimited seats: Viewabo.
- Android devices you also need to control: AirDroid Remote Support.
- App, account and settings problems during a call: GuidedView.
Telecom and internet providers often deal with both kinds of problem. See how screen sharing fits for telecom and internet providers.
Questions
How much does TechSee cost?
TechSee does not publish prices. As of November 2026, its pricing page offers tailored pricing and a request for a tailored quote, with no free trial mentioned. Among the alternatives here, Viewabo, AirDroid Remote Support and GuidedView publish prices, while SightCall and Glance are quote-based.
Does TechSee need an app?
Not for the customer in Sophie Live. TechSee says the agent sends a browser-based camera session link and the customer joins without downloading an app. Deployments are still enterprise projects and can include integrations such as Sophie for Salesforce.
Can a camera-based tool see a phone's screen?
Not directly. TechSee and Viewabo show the camera feed, not the phone's screen. SightCall's optional Visual Support app lists screen sharing, and Glance offers screen sharing from a desktop and co-browsing inside your own app. To see what is on a customer's phone screen, a screen-sharing tool such as GuidedView is the direct route.
What is the difference between camera sharing and screen sharing?
Camera sharing sends the live view from the phone's camera, so the agent sees equipment, wiring or a room. Screen sharing sends what is displayed on the phone or computer, so the agent sees apps, settings and websites. Some support journeys need both: camera help for physical setup, and screen sharing for the app that controls the device.
Does GuidedView work for field service teams?
For the screen part of the job, yes. A dispatcher or support agent can see a customer's app or account screen during the call before deciding whether a visit is needed. GuidedView cannot show physical equipment, so pair it with a camera tool if you need to see the device itself.
